Prime Minister Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several important development projects in Delhi today. Under these projects, major steps are being taken towards strengthening the urban and educational infrastructure of Delhi. These projects include the inauguration of the new campus of Delhi University (DU), World Trade Center (WTC) in Naoroji Nagar, General Pool Residential Quarters in Sarojini Nagar and CBSE Office Complex in Dwarka.Slum Rehabilitation Project: New Beginning in Ashok ViharPrime Minister Modi will inaugurate the slum rehabilitation project in Ashok Vihar area of Delhi. Under this project, 1,675 new flats will be given to slum dwellers. The Prime Minister will hand over the keys of their new homes to these beneficiaries. This project is part of the Prime Minister's Home for Everyone initiative, which is a big step towards providing safe and permanent housing to the poor and deprived sections of the country.Urban Redevelopment Projects in Naoroji Nagar and Sarojini NagarPrime Minister Modi will also inaugurate urban redevelopment projects in Naoroji Nagar and Sarojini Nagar in Delhi. 600 old government quarters in Naoroji Nagar have been converted into commercial towers. The project has eco-friendly features such as zero-drainage system and use of solar energy. At the same time, more than 2,500 residential units have been built in 28 towers in Sarojini Nagar, which will meet the residential needs for government employees.₹ 600 crore gift to Delhi UniversityPrime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of three major educational projects at Delhi University at a cost of ₹ 600 crore. These projects include Veer Savarkar College in Najafgarh, an educational block in East Delhi and another educational block in Dwarka. These new campuses will provide state-of-the-art facilities to the students and improve the level of education.New office complex of CBSEPrime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the new office complex of CBSE in Dwarka. This project has cost around ₹ 300 crore. Data center, auditorium, water management system and office facilities have been provided in this state-of-the-art office. The building has been designed to receive a platinum rating from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), which makes it environmentally friendly.Government's commitment to Delhi's developmentThis visit of Prime Minister Modi has made it clear that the central government is committed to the development of Delhi. Through these projects, the BJP is trying to send a message that it will make development a major issue in the upcoming assembly elections. These projects will be helpful in providing better housing, education and basic amenities to the citizens of Delhi.These programs of the Prime Minister will not only improve the urban structure of Delhi, but will also bring positive changes in the lives of slum dwellers. With these development works, the central government is trying to give a new direction to the future of Delhi.
