Rajasthan News: Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Wednesday directed to make FASTag mandatory at all tolls in the RSRDC board meeting. She approved important reforms in the toll policy, including reducing the toll contract period from two years to one year, which can be extended by a maximum of three months. The penalty amount has been fixed at Rs 1 lakh per mistake.Diya Kumari inspected the RSRDC's FASTag Command Center, which will provide live monitoring and real-time data of all toll plazas. She ordered to link it with the FASTag system, which will improve transparency and traffic management in the system. This initiative will increase competition among toll sensors and is expected to increase revenue.Toll contract period reduced from two years to one yearIn the meeting, the toll contract period has been reduced from two years to one year, which can be extended by a maximum of three months. A provision of penalty of Rs 1 lakh per mistake has been made for not following the rules. This document has been prepared in accordance with the rules of the National Highway Authority.The Deputy Chief Minister inspected the Fastag Command Center set up in the RSRDC building. Through this center, live monitoring of all Fastag based toll plazas in the state can be done. Live view of tolls is available on the screen installed in the command center through CCTV cameras installed at all toll plazas.Instructions to connect Fastag to Command CenterLet us tell you that on the dashboard installed in the command center, it can be seen from which direction and what type of vehicles are passing through the toll. The revenue collected there can be watched in real time. Appreciating this, the Deputy Chief Minister said that this will bring transparency in the system. The behavior of toll personnel with citizens can also be monitored through this and it can also be used in traffic management as per the need.
