Pooja Khedkar Case: UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) has taken a big action against the trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar, who is surrounded by controversies. UPSC has registered an FIR against her. It is alleged that Pooja has committed fraud to get more chances in the examination. She is also accused of appearing in the Civil Services Examination through a fake identity card. Along with this, UPSC has issued a show cause notice to Pooja. It has asked, why should your selection and giving exams in future not be stopped?

A show cause notice has also been issued to cancel Pooja's candidature for Civil Services Examination-2022 and to prevent her from appearing in future examinations. Recently, Pooja was accused of misusing powers during training in Pune and using fake certificates for selection in the civil services.

Hiding identity by changing name, photo, mobile number and address

The commission has said in its statement that UPSC has conducted a thorough investigation into the case of Pooja Manorama Dilip Khedkar. It has been revealed that she hid her identity by changing her name, her parents' name, her photo, signature, email ID, mobile number and address.

Accused of taking more chances in the exam by cheating

In the same statement, the commission has also said that Pooja Khedkar took advantage of more attempts than the permissible limits under the examination rules. UPSC has started several actions including filing an FIR against Pooja with the police and criminal prosecution.

Along with trainee IAS Pooja, her family is also surrounded by controversies. Yesterday, section 307 of IPC was added in the FIR registered against Pooja's mother Manorama Khedkar in the land dispute case. After this, on the request of the police, the court sent Manorama to police custody till July 20.

Pooja's mother in trouble in land dispute case

In the FIR, the police have described Manorama, her husband Dilip Khedkar and three others as influential and politically active. Recently, a one-year old video of Manorama came to light. In this, she was seen threatening some people with a pistol in Dhadwali village of Mulshi tehsil over a land dispute.

Regarding Manorama's arrest in this case, Pune Rural Superintendent of Police had said that Manorama was caught from a lodge in Hirkaniwadi village near Mahad in Raigad district. After this, she was taken to Paud police station. After this, she was produced before the judicial magistrate.
