Chief Minister Hemant Soren said in a rally in Kolhan that the BJP is unable to find its leader and is bringing outside leaders into the party by horse-trading. He claimed that the people of Jharkhand will not fall into these traps of BJP.

Champai Soren's political journey

Champai Soren started his political career by becoming an MLA from Saraikela seat for the first time in the 1991 by-election. In 2009, he was made a minister in the Jharkhand government and after that he was also a minister in the governments of Arjun Munda and Hemant Soren. In 2019, he contested the Lok Sabha elections from Jamshedpur seat, but lost. In early 2024, when Hemant Soren went to jail, the JMM handed him the chair of the Chief Minister.
