Uttar Pradesh Politics: BJP has not got the results as expected in the Lok Sabha elections this time. Among the states of the country where BJP's performance was not good in 2024, Uttar Pradesh is being discussed the most. In UP, BJP not only got reduced from 62 Lok Sabha seats to just 33 seats this time, but its vote share has also come down by 8.50 percent. On the defeat in UP, BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary has submitted a 15-page report prepared on the basis of talks and feedback from 40 thousand party workers on 80 seats to the high command.

After the results of the 2024 elections, there has been a political uproar in UP BJP. BJP and alliance partners have started raising questions continuously and a round of meetings and meetings is going on from Lucknow to Delhi. Meanwhile, the internal report was submitted by the BJP state president and a detailed discussion was held by meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda. The report mentions not only the loss of seats in UP region-wise and the decline in vote share, but also the reasons for the party's defeat.

15-page report submitted to BJP high command

In the internal report submitted to the high command by Bhupendra Chaudhary, many major reasons for the poor performance of BJP have been given. In this, the reason for the defeat has been cited as the arbitrariness of the officials and administration in the state. The dissatisfaction of BJP workers with the state government has been cited as a major reason for the defeat in 2024. Apart from this, there was resentment among the youth regarding the issue of paper leak. The report says that the paper leak in government jobs for the last 6 years has become the reason for BJP's defeat.

One of the reasons for BJP's defeat in UP is the state government giving preference to people of the general category in the recruitment of contract workers in government jobs, due to which the opposition got strength to create narratives like ending reservation during the elections. The opposition was already raising the issue of changing the Constitution strongly. The backward and Dalit vote bank was affected by the general category getting priority in the recruitment of contract workers. Apart from this, it has been said that the effect of the Rajput community's displeasure with the BJP was seen on the election results. Also, statements about changing the constitution, issues like OPS and Agniveer have cost the BJP dearly in the elections.

'No BJP leader has taken responsibility for the defeat so far'

Political analyst and senior journalist Siddharth Kalhans, while talking to TV-9 Digital, said that the defeat of the BJP in UP is nothing less than an embarrassment for it. So far no BJP leader has taken responsibility for the defeat. The reasons that have been publicly cited as the reason for the defeat so far have been highlighted in the report. Most of the reasons for the defeat given in the report prepared by Bhupendra Chaudhary on the basis of feedback from the workers point towards the Yogi government and administration of Uttar Pradesh.

In the BJP's working committee, CM Yogi had attributed the defeat in the elections to overconfidence and the narrative of the opposition, while Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya had tried to give a political message by calling the organization bigger than the government. But, with this, the discussion of rift among BJP leaders intensified. Siddharth Kalhans says that BJP's internal report has completely blamed the Yogi government and its administration for the defeat in the state. Be it the displeasure of the workers with the government or the arbitrary attitude of the administration. Both the reasons are clearly indicating who is responsible for the party's defeat?

The government and the organization are blaming each other for the defeat

Senior journalist of Lucknow Kashi Prasad Yadav says that no one wants to take responsibility for the defeat in UP, neither the government is taking it on itself nor the organization is accepting its shortcomings. CM Yogi Adityanath may not have named anyone, but the way he spoke in the working committee, it is clear who he was pointing towards. Now when the state president has prepared a report on the basis of the workers, he has put the government and the administration in the dock. In this way, it is clear that the government and the organization are now busy blaming each other for the defeat. However, BJP's defeat has raised many questions and the party leaders have also got an opportunity to speak out.
