Air Power Practice: The Indian Air Force will showcase its might during 'Vayu Shakti Abhyas' in Jaisalmer on 17 February. It is being told that a total of 150 aircraft will be involved in this exercise. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may also participate in this program. In this exercise, fighter jets will target selected targets of the Indian Air Force by dropping bombs ranging from 500 to 1000 kg. Fighter jet Rafale will be seen flying at supersonic speed and firing air to air missiles.According to the information received from the sources, during this exercise, the operation is carried out by preparing real war-like situations. A total of 150 aircraft including fighter aircraft Jaguar, Sukhoi-30, Tejas, Rafale are likely to participate in the air power exercise. It will have 109 fighter jets, 24 helicopters, 7 transport aircraft. During the exercise, the Jaguar fighter jet will demonstrate recce and also drop a 1000 pound bomb on the target. Fighter jet Rafale will be seen flying at supersonic speed and firing air to air missiles. Sukhoi-30 fighter jets will be seen doing combat air patrolling, after which they will drop 1000 pounds and 100 kg bombs on the target. The chief guest of the program will choose the targets for the bombs to be dropped from the fighter planes.Collector took meetingOn February 17, a meeting was organized in the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Collector Pratap Singh for the arrangements related to organizing the proposed Vayushakti Exercise (Fire Power Demonstration) at Air Force Range Chandhan. Many officials of the district along with Air Force officials were present in the meeting. During the meeting, Collector Pratap Singh took information about the Vayushakti exercise organized in the district in the past also. He directed all the officers to take necessary action regarding the assigned tasks in coordination with the concerned officials of the Air Force.PM Modi had participated in the year 2016Prime Minister Narendra Modi also came to Jaisalmer in the Air Force program organized in the year 2016 and became a part of it. After this, speculations are being made that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may once again attend the Indian Air Force's 'Vayu Shakti Abhyas' which is going to be organized on 17th February.
