Rahul Gandhi News: Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on the Modi government over the draft rules of the University Grants Commission (UGC) regarding the appointment of teachers and academic staff in universities and colleges. He termed it as an attempt by the central government to further the agenda of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Rahul Gandhi alleges that the government aims to impose "one history, one language, one tradition" on the country.Rahul Gandhi's participation in DMK protestOn Thursday, a demonstration was organized by the DMK against the draft rules of the UGC, in which Rahul Gandhi also participated. On this occasion, he said that the RSS aims to eliminate the diverse cultures, history and traditions of the country. He warned that this process starts from here and then it is implemented systematically.Rahul Gandhi further said that by attacking the Constitution, the government is trying to impose one ideology, one tradition, one history and one language on the entire country. He believes that this is against the spirit of diversity and can weaken the constitutional system of India.Emphasis on linguistic and cultural diversity of statesCriticising the central government, Rahul Gandhi said that efforts are being made to influence the education system of different states. He said that each state has its own history, its own traditions and its own languages. This is why India has been called a 'Union of States' in the Constitution. This clearly means that all traditions, histories and languages together reflect the unity of India. He said, "We have to respect all traditions, languages, cultures and histories. The people of Tamil Nadu have their own language, their own history and their own traditions, and they have fought to protect them." Rahul Gandhi also said that the draft rules of UGC are an insult to all those states and the people of Tamil Nadu, where the RSS is trying to impose its ideology.Meeting with students of NagalandRahul Gandhi shared a video of his meeting with the students of Nagaland on his social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter). He wrote that the future of mobility can change everything. He said, "I discussed with a group of enthusiastic students from Nagaland about the changes taking place in vehicles in the new revolution. It is important that our education system adapts itself according to the changes taking place in the world and equips the Indian youth with such skills and knowledge that will help them move forward and take the country to new heights."ConclusionThese comments of Rahul Gandhi reflect his disagreement with the educational policies of the Modi government. He accused the central government of changing the educational structure to implement the agenda of the RSS. The debate has also intensified among various political parties and educational organizations regarding this issue. Now it will be important to see how the central government reacts to this and whether any changes are made in the draft rules of UGC.
As I said in my Lok Sabha speech, the future of mobility will change everything.
