BSP Meeting: Today, the National Executive meeting of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is going to be held, in which important decisions are likely to be taken on the top leadership of the party. This meeting will start after 12 noon, and there will be important discussions on the forecast and strategy of BSP. In particular, this meeting will focus on the election of the party president.

BSP founder and current president Mayawati has already made it clear that she has no intention of retiring from politics. Her statement has indicated that Mayawati is almost certain to be re-elected as the national president of the party in the meeting of the National Executive of the party. This indication clarifies the satisfactory situation on this issue among the party workers and leaders.

Senior party leaders from across the country have reached Lucknow to participate in the meeting. Mayawati has called this meeting, in which important discussions will be held on the current situation and future direction of the party. Mayawati took over the presidency of the party for the first time on 18 September 2003, after Kanshiram's health deteriorated. From then to today, she has held the reins of the party in her hands and has seen many important turns in her political journey.

Another important issue in this meeting can be - raising the stature of Akash Anand. Akash Anand, who is the nephew of the BSP supremo, is the national coordinator of the party. Mayawati had stripped him of his powers during the Lok Sabha elections, calling him immature. However, after the elections, she reposed faith in Akash and raised his stature. Now there is a possibility that Akash Anand's stature in the party may increase even more, so that he can play an important role in the party's future strategies.

Mayawati's plan also includes preparations for the upcoming assembly elections and by-elections on 10 seats. According to reports, Mayawati is planning to mobilize public support across the country against the Supreme Court's decision on Dalit reservation. Her aim is to get the central government to change this decision by bringing a bill in Parliament. This strategy can be an attempt to regain Mayawati's lost support base.

In summary, today's meeting is an opportunity for the BSP to take decisions on many important issues. The change in the direction of the party under Mayawati's leadership and the possible role of Akash Anand, as well as discussion on upcoming election strategies, all these aspects make this meeting extremely important.
