India / Congress appoints Ajay Maken as Gen Secy in-charge of Rajasthan

Congress on Sunday appointed Ajay Maken as general secretary in-charge of Rajasthan, replacing Avinash Pande with immediate effect. This comes after the crisis in Rajasthan Congress came to an end after a truce negotiated between Sachin Pilot and the party leadership in Delhi. A three-member committee has also been formed to look into issues that led to the political crisis.

Jaipur: The Congress on Sunday appointed Ajay Maken as the general secretary in-charge of Rajasthan, replacing Avinash Pandey with immediate effect.

This comes after the crisis in the Rajasthan Congress came to an end after a truce negotiated between the Sachin Pilot camp and the party leadership in Delhi.

The party has also constituted a committee with party leaders Ahmed Patel, KC Venugopal and Ajay Maken as its members to “oversee and follow-up (on) smooth resolution of recent issues in Rajasthan”.
