India / Flight delayed by more than 2 hours, heated argument between passengers and Spicejet staff at Delhi airport

SpiceJet Airlines: A heated argument broke out between the passengers and airline staff of the Patna-bound SpiceJet flight at the Delhi airport on Friday morning (February 3). The debate started when the passengers got agitated after the flight was delayed by more than two hours.

A passenger of Delhi-Patna flight number (8721) told PTI that there was a scheduled departure at 7.20 am from Terminal 3 of the airport in New Delhi. The passenger said, “At first the airline staff said that the flight was delayed due to weather problems, but later cited technical glitches as the reason for the delay.”

Several passengers got into an argument with the staff

According to the passenger, 'several passengers were agitated and were involved in a heated argument with the airline staff concerned at the airport over the delay in flight departure.'

The plane finally took off at 10.10 am. According to PTI-language, there was no immediate comment from SpiceJet on this issue.
