Chandra Kumar Bose: Chandra Kumar Bose, grandson of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, has left the Bharatiya Janata Party. His leaving the party before the Lok Sabha elections 2024 can create problems for the BJP in Bengal. He cited differences as the reason for leaving the party and resigned from the BJP on Wednesday. Chandra Kumar Bose was the Vice President of BJP in West Bengal in 2016 and was removed in 2020. In his resignation letter, he has written that he neither received any support from the BJP at the Center nor at the state level for propagating the ideology of the Bose brothers - Subhash Chandra Bose and Sarat Chandra Bose.He further wrote- "My own spirited campaigning efforts to achieve these laudable objectives have not received any support from the BJP at the Center or the State level in West Bengal. I wrote a letter suggesting Bengal's strategy to reach out to the people. Had made a detailed proposal. But my proposals were ignored. In view of these unfortunate circumstances, it has become impossible for me to continue as a member of the BJP".
