Lok Sabha Election: Samajwadi Party (SP) president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that Modi's tongue is faltering and these days he is after the letter 'M'. Yadav targeted the Prime Minister while addressing an election rally organised in support of Congress's Virendra Chaudhary, the candidate of 'Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance' ('India' alliance) from Maharajganj. He said, "Our Delhi's 'Pradhan MP' ji, don't know why these days he is after the letter 'M'. Ever since he has panicked, not only has he himself become faltering, but his tongue has also become faltering. What is being heard these days is that since his fall from the height has started, he is falling continuously, don't know where he will fall. Their countdown has begun.”

Taking a jibe at PM Modi's meditation

Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister's recent comments, Yadav said, "In this election (the Prime Minister) sometimes talked about meat, sometimes about fish, sometimes about mujra and now it is heard that he is talking about Mahatma Gandhi. All the words he has spoken start with the letter 'M'. He is after 'M'. Maharajganj also comes from 'M'. People of Maharajganj are also after these BJP people. Till the time their deposits are not forfeited, the people of Maharajganj are not going to sit in peace."

Referring to Prime Minister Modi's program of meditation at Vivekananda Memorial in Kanyakumari from May 30 to June 1, Yadav said, "I have heard that now he (the Prime Minister) has gone somewhere far away. I have heard that before the results are out, they have gone far away for penance, because when the results are not in their favour, they will say that there was some shortcoming in our penance.'

'By the seventh phase, they forgot the slogan of crossing 400'

Taking a dig at the BJP, the SP chief said, "Those who were raising the slogan of crossing 400, by the seventh phase, they have forgotten their slogan. Not only this, now they are afraid that they may lose 400 seats." He said that the BJP had talked about doubling the income of farmers, but due to the increase in the cost of farming, they (farmers) have definitely got into trouble. The former Chief Minister said that the government has created a crisis for the youth along with the farmers, because the government has deliberately leaked the papers of the examinations, so that it does not have to give jobs to the youth. He alleged that the people of the BJP have ruined one-third of the lives of the youth in the last 10 years.

'Youth and women were cheated'

Later, Yadav addressed a public meeting in Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency of Mau district in support of party candidate Rajiv Rai. Yadav said, "These people have become frightened after seeing the last six phases of elections, not only have they themselves become frightened, now they have become so frightened that even a stick will not be able to save them." He said that this time the 140 crore people of the country will make them crave for 140 seats, because they cheated the farmers, cheated the youth, cheated the mothers and sisters. A triangular attack of these three is going to be made on them. The SP chief said, "What were you giving in ration during the 2022 elections and what are you giving today, has there been a reduction or not? Samajwadi Party and 'India' alliance have decided that ration will increase, quantity will be increased, nutritious flour will be given, and data will be provided. He said, "We are telling our farmer brothers that 'India' alliance has decided that if they can waive off the debt of rich people, then when the government is formed, we will waive off the debt of our farmer brothers and the poor." Yadav said, "Our youth is wandering from door to door for jobs, government jobs are not being found, reservation is being tampered with. People will not spare those who are tampering with reservation this time, we will teach them a lesson." Voting for Maharajganj and Ghosi seats will be held on June 1 in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
