Mamata Banerjee News: NITI Aayog's 9th Governing Council meeting is being held in Delhi today. PM Modi will chair this meeting. CMs of BJP-ruled states are participating in this meeting of NITI Aayog. India Alliance has boycotted this meeting. Chief Ministers of some non-BJP ruled states will not attend this meeting. They have backed out from it alleging discrimination in the budget. However, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will attend this meeting. Apart from this, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren can also attend this meeting. Before the meeting, Mamata Banerjee raised questions about NITI Aayog itself. She said that it should be closed and Planning Commission should be brought back. NITI Aayog meeting will be held from 10 am. This meeting will be held at the Cultural Center of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

In this meeting of NITI Aayog, the role of states in achieving the goal of developed India will be discussed in detail. The theme of the meeting is 'Developed India @ 2047'. Its main focus is to make India a developed nation. After the meeting of NITI Aayog, there will be 'CM Conclave', in which the Chief Ministers of states and union territories will participate.

‘If I am heard, it is fine, otherwise…’

Mamata Banerjee has said that she will put forth the problems and needs of Bengal in the meeting of NITI Aayog. If she is heard, it is fine, otherwise she will leave the meeting midway. In Delhi, Mamata Banerjee held a meeting with Trinamool Congress MPs, then went to Arvind Kejriwal's house and also met his wife Sunita Kejriwal. After this, Mamata said that she will definitely go to the meeting of NITI Aayog, but her opinion is that NITI Aayog should be dissolved because it has no authority.

'They call meetings to show their face'

Mamata Banerjee said, 'I have once again raised my voice to close this NITI Aayog. They have no financial authority. They cannot do anything. They call a meeting once a year, so that they can show their face. Please bring back the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission should be the real infrastructure of the country, like they used to do earlier. This was the plan of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and since independence, this Planning Commission has done a lot of work for the country and the states.'

Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states are boycotting

Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states are boycotting the meeting of NITI Aayog. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan are also not attending the meeting of NITI Aayog. At the same time, the Chief Ministers of BJP and NDA ruled states have reached Delhi. UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with CMs of many other states have reached Delhi for the meeting of NITI Aayog.

These topics will be discussed in the meeting

During the meeting, a report will be submitted to NITI Aayog by the state government. Along with this report, the scheme run with the cooperation of the central and state government will be discussed. In the meeting, topics like 30 trillion dollar economy by 2047, role of states in developed nations, drinking water-electricity, health, school education, roadmap for development of country and states, cooperation between central and state governments and digitalization will be discussed.

On boycotting the NITI Aayog meeting, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that when the BJP was in the opposition, no important meeting related to the federal structure was boycotted, because for us the nation comes first. The opposition wants to weaken the nation by boycotting the NITI Aayog.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that some CMs are boycotting the NITI Aayog meeting. They are putting the interest of the state behind by putting personal interests ahead. These people are boycotting by citing baseless issues. The Indy alliance leader does not know how to read the budget. Do not confuse people by saying that we did not get anything.

On boycotting the NITI Aayog meeting, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin said that the budget presented by the Union Finance Minister seems like an act of vengeance against the states and people who boycotted the BJP. He has prepared the budget to take revenge on those who voted for the INDIA alliance. The BJP government at the Center is constantly neglecting Tamil Nadu.
