Rahul Gandhi was seeking votes for Congress candidate Sadal Prasad from Bansgaon (reserved) Lok Sabha seat.

Sought votes for Congress candidate

Rahul Gandhi was seeking votes for Congress candidate Sadal Prasad from Bansgaon (reserved) Lok Sabha seat. This Lok Sabha seat includes the assembly constituencies of Chauri-Chaura, Bansgaon and Chillupar of Gorakhpur district and Rudrapur and Barhaj assembly constituencies of Deoria district.

Eight candidates are in the fray from Bansgaon Lok Sabha seat and the main electoral contest is between outgoing MP and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kamlesh Paswan and Congress' Sadal Prasad. Voting for this seat is to be held on June 1.

Heatwave warning in all districts of UP

These days, deadly heat is prevailing in the entire North India. Due to the heat, the condition of the common people is miserable. The Meteorological Department has already issued an alert to the people about the heatwave. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding the heatwave on 29 April.

A red alert for heatwave has been issued for more than 10 districts of UP. This also includes the names of Mathura, Agra, Firozabad and Etawah. Apart from these, a red alert has also been issued for Auraiya, Jalaun and Hamirpur. At the same time, people of Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and its surrounding areas should also remain alert.
