Kanwar Yatra Row: A big decision of the Supreme Court has come out in the matter of putting name plates on the Kanwar route. The Supreme Court has put an interim stay on the government's decision to put name plates on the Kanwar route and said that shopkeepers do not need to disclose their identity. Apart from this, the court has also issued a notice to the UP, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh government and has sought a reply by Friday.

Then what will the shopkeepers have to tell?

The Supreme Court said that shopkeepers will only have to tell the type of food whether it is vegetarian or non-vegetarian. The next hearing of the name plate case will be on July 26.

Today, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court in the Kanwar Yatra-nameplate dispute case. During this time, the Supreme Court gave this decision. Actually, the shopkeepers on the route of Kanwar Yatra were asked by the government to reveal their identity. After which it was seen that the shopkeepers had put up posters of their names outside their shops. Regarding this matter, it was also revealed that many shops were named after Hindus but their owners were Muslims.

People were reacting in large numbers on social media regarding this matter and political rhetoric was also coming to the fore. Opposition parties were opposing this decision of the government.

It is important to tell whether the food is vegetarian or non-vegetarian, not the name

The Supreme Court said that the police has misused its power in this case. It should not have done this. Hotel owners will have to give information about the type of food i.e. whether it is vegetarian or non-vegetarian. They should not be forced to write their name.
