In this episode, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with the leaders of Haryana on Wednesday.

The leaders of Haryana Congress called their own people horses and strangers donkeys. On this, Rahul Gandhi said, 'All our workers are horses. There is no donkey. It just needs to be decided who is the wedding horse and who is the race horse.'

Congress President targets BJP

Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge targeted BJP. He said, BJP has betrayed the farmers and youth of Haryana. Many congratulations to all the newly elected MPs of the Congress Party. He said, 10 years of BJP rule has stopped the development of Haryana. Hundreds of recruitment exams have been rigged, farmers have been tortured, lathis have been used, Dalits, backward classes have been tortured, women have been tortured, crimes have increased. Kharge further said that we all have to unite and raise the voice of the people.

Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, former Union Minister Kumari Selja, State Congress Committee President Udaybhan, State Incharge Deepak Babaria and many other leaders attended the meeting held at the party headquarters.

Deepak Babaria said, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party leaders Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal held a meeting with 40 leaders of the party's Haryana unit. Our vote share in Haryana increased to 47.69 percent in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Rahul Gandhi praised us for this. According to him, Rahul Gandhi has said that we have to work unitedly for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. Congress won five out of a total of 10 seats in Haryana in the recent Lok Sabha elections.

'Avoid making public statements'

Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal posted on 'X', a meeting of Haryana Congress leaders was held at the AICC in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. Clear instructions were issued to all the leaders to avoid making any public statements regarding any differences or internal matters of the party. He said, we will fight the BJP unitedly.

The party leadership issued this directive in the backdrop of the statements made by Kumari Selja and Randeep Surjewala after Kiran Chaudhary and her daughter Shruti Chaudhary left the Congress. Surjewala had said that if anyone leaves the party, it is a loss and the party should think about it. At the same time, Selja had said that justice was not done to Kiran Chaudhary.
