Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off six new Vande Bharat trains in Jharkhand today. These trains will run from Tata Nagar, Brahmapur, Rourkela, Deoghar, Bhagalpur and Gaya to Howrah and Patna. These trains will benefit pilgrims and industries, and the Vande Bharat fleet will increase from 54 to 60.

Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off six new Vande Bharat trains today, marking a significant step in the history of Indian Railways. The ceremony will be held at Tata Nagar Junction railway station in Jharkhand, and will mark a significant milestone in the modernisation of Indian Railways.

Vande Bharat Expansion: New Definition of Modernity

According to the Railway Ministry, these six new Vande Bharat trains will further strengthen India's rail network. The addition of these new trains will increase the fleet of Vande Bharat trains from 54 to 60. With these trains, a total of 120 trips will be made on a daily basis, providing access to over 280 districts across 24 states and union territories.

A release issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that the Vande Bharat portfolio is being expanded for better connectivity. It also mentioned that these trains are indigenously designed under the 'Make in India' initiative, providing state-of-the-art facilities and will benefit millions of passengers.

New train services: routes and benefits

These six new Vande Bharat trains will run on the following routes:

  • Tatanagar-Patna
  • Brahmapur-Tatanagar
  • Rourkela-Howrah
  • Deoghar-Varanasi
  • Bhagalpur-Howrah
  • Gaya-Howrah
These new trains will provide special benefits to pilgrims. Passengers will find it easy to reach religious places like Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Kalighat and Belur Math in Kolkata. Along with this, industrial centers like Dhanbad, Kolkata and Durgapur will also get a boost from these trains, which will also boost the country's economy.

The journey of Vande Bharat trains: From beginning to present

Since the inauguration of the first Vande Bharat train on February 15, 2019, the service has become a symbol of the beginning of a new era for Indian Railways passengers. These trains are capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 kmph, giving passengers a unique and comfortable travel experience.
