Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off six new Vande Bharat trains today, marking a significant step in the history of Indian Railways. The ceremony will be held at Tata Nagar Junction railway station in Jharkhand, and will mark a significant milestone in the modernisation of Indian Railways.Vande Bharat Expansion: New Definition of ModernityAccording to the Railway Ministry, these six new Vande Bharat trains will further strengthen India's rail network. The addition of these new trains will increase the fleet of Vande Bharat trains from 54 to 60. With these trains, a total of 120 trips will be made on a daily basis, providing access to over 280 districts across 24 states and union territories.A release issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that the Vande Bharat portfolio is being expanded for better connectivity. It also mentioned that these trains are indigenously designed under the 'Make in India' initiative, providing state-of-the-art facilities and will benefit millions of passengers.New train services: routes and benefitsThese six new Vande Bharat trains will run on the following routes:
- Tatanagar-Patna
- Brahmapur-Tatanagar
- Rourkela-Howrah
- Deoghar-Varanasi
- Bhagalpur-Howrah
- Gaya-Howrah
