Earlier, when his body was taken home after the post-mortem, there was chaos in the house. The crying wife said that the killers should be given capital punishment, otherwise these people will kill many people.

How and why was Kanhaiya murdered?

Kanhaiyalal, who posted on social media in support of Nupur Sharma 10 days ago, was murdered in a Talibani manner. Gauss and Riyaz entered his shop in broad daylight on Tuesday. He struck him several times with the sword and slit his throat. Two other employees including Ishwar were present in the shop.

On Tuesday, the police arrested both the accused Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar from Rajsamand. Apart from these, 3 other people have also been caught by the police. The investigation of the murder has now been taken over by the NIA and a case has been registered against both the killers under several sections of the IPC including the Unlawful Activism (UAPA) Act.

Updates related to the murder

1. Police has imposed a precautionary curfew in 7 areas of the city. On the other hand, internet has been shut down for 24 hours as a precautionary measure in Rajasthan. Section 144 has been imposed for one month. Many cities including Udaipur, Jhalawar, Dungarpur, Rajsamand are closed in protest against the incident.

2. The Ministry of Home Affairs handed over the investigation of this murder to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Said that any organization and international links will be thoroughly investigated. A 4-member team has reached Udaipur for investigation.

3. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said – There will be a complete investigation into this matter. On the other hand, Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria also reached Udaipur to meet Kanhaiyalal's family members. He said that there was no fear among the criminals now.

4. BJP MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said on Kanhaiya murder case that this is not an ordinary incident, it is a terrorist incident.

5. Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has said that the question is whether our children are being taught to behead those who blaspheme? Muslim law does not come from the Quran. It has been written by some person, in which it has been said to behead. This law is being taught to the children in the madrassa.

Post mortem report - 26 marks on the body, 8 to 10 times in the throat

Kanhaiyalal's postmortem was done on Wednesday itself. According to sources, 26 wound marks have been found on the body. 8 to 10 wounds were only on the neck. It has been revealed in the PM report that Kanhaiya's throat was slit and separated. Both the attackers had entered Kanhaiya's shop on Tuesday on the pretext of giving the measurement of clothes. For this they brutally murdered him.

CM appeals for peace

After the CM reached Jodhpur airport, issued a statement in the Udaipur case. He said – It is a matter of great concern. Murdering someone is worrying. There has been an atmosphere of tension in the whole country. The atmosphere is not good. In the streets and localities where the population is less, they are more worried. There has been tension and distance among themselves. PM also makes a difference.
