Actually, after being declared the heir of Chittorgarh, Vishwaraj Singh (Vishvaraj Singh Rajtilak) was coronated. After this, Vishwaraj Singh wanted to visit Dhuni Mata located in Udaipur City Palace. At present, the trustee of the City Palace is Vishvaraj Singh Mewar's uncle Arvind Singh. There is a dispute over ownership rights among the new generations of the former royal family of Mewar. Their management is with 9 trusts. To handle the throne of the royal family, Maharana Bhagwat Singh started the organization 'Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation'. This organization runs the City Palace Museum in Udaipur. All these trusts are managed by Vishvraj Singh's uncle Arvind Singh Mewar and cousin Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

Descendants of Maharana Pratap

Both Vishvraj and Lakshyaraj belong to the Sisodia dynasty. The Sisodia dynasty is the same in which great men like Rana Kumbha, Rana Sanga and Maharana Pratap have been born. Both the princes are from the family of Maharana Pratap. It is believed that the Sisodia Kshatriyas are descendants of Lord Rama's younger son Luv.

The dispute started from here

Bhagwant Singh became the Maharana of Mewar in the year 1955. This dispute over property started during his lifetime itself. When Bhagwant Singh started selling or leasing his ancestral properties in Mewar, his elder son Mahendra Singh did not like it. Angry Mahendra Singh filed a case against his father and demanded the division of ancestral properties under the Hindu Succession Act. After this, Bhagwant Singh made his younger son Arvind Singh the executor of the properties in his will on May 15, 1984. Also, Mahendra Singh was evicted from the trust and property. At the same time, Bhagwat Singh died on November 3 of the same year.

'Lakshyaraj Singh's right to the throne'

A dispute has been going on since then between Mahendra Singh's family and his estranged younger brother Arvind Singh Mewar. Arvind Singh has issued a public notice against Vishwraj's visit to Ekling Nath temple and City Palace in Udaipur under the Dastur program. Amidst the mutual family dispute, Arvind Singh Mewar and his son Lakshyaraj Singh have called it completely illegal. Arvind Singh Mewar says that the Mewar royal family runs through a trust, which his father has given him the control of. In such a situation, the right to the throne belongs to me and my son (Lakshyaraj Singh).

Tradition of Dhuni Darshan

According to the Udaipur district administration, there is a tradition of Dhuni Darshan after the coronation of the new Maharana. After this, the king also has to visit the Eklingji temple. After the coronation ceremony, Vishvraj Singh Mewar also reached Mewar City Palace to visit Dhuni Darshan and Ekling Temple, but he was stopped from entering the City Palace.

Vishwaraj Singh is a BJP MLA

Vishwaraj Singh is also a BJP MLA from Rajsamand. His wife Mahima Kumari is the current MP from here. Vishvaraj Singh's coronation was announced 12 days after the death of his father Mahendra Singh Mewar. He was formally declared the successor of the Mewar dynasty in a traditional coronation ceremony at the historic Chittorgarh fort. Vishvaraj Singh will be the 77th Diwan of Mewar Eklingnathji.

Both sides stuck to their respective points

Let us tell you that the family of Mahendra Singh Mewar's brother and Vishvaraj's uncle Arvind Singh Mewar has closed the doors of the City Palace to stop the tradition from being followed. Vishvaraj Singh had to go to the City Palace for Dhuni Darshan as per tradition. District Collector Arvind Poswal and SP Yogesh Goyal reached the City Palace to ensure that the atmosphere does not deteriorate. An attempt was made to reach a compromise between the two parties but both remained adamant on their point. In such a situation, permission was finally given to take three vehicles inside.

Coronation with blood in Chittor

Earlier, the tradition of installing Vishvraj Singh Mewar on the throne was performed in Chittorgarh. After the advent of democracy, monarchy has ended, but this ritual is performed symbolically. On Monday, the ritual of coronation with blood was performed during the Dastur (Rasm) program in Fateh Prakash Palace of Chittorgarh Fort.
