In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting has started today on 96 seats in 9 states and one union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, voting is also being held on 175 assembly seats of Andhra Pradesh and 28 assembly seats of Odisha. In 2019, BJP had won 42 seats, YSR Congress 22, BRS 9 and Congress 6. Others had got 17 seats. After the end of the fourth phase of voting, voting will be completed

Lok Sabha Election: In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting has started today on 96 seats in 9 states and one union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, voting is also being held on 175 assembly seats of Andhra Pradesh and 28 assembly seats of Odisha. In 2019, BJP had won 42 seats, YSR Congress 22, BRS 9 and Congress 6. Others had got 17 seats. After the end of the fourth phase of voting, voting will be completed on 380 out of 543 seats of the Lok Sabha. After this, voting will be left on 163 seats on May 20, May 25 and June 1. Result is on 4th June.

In this phase, 5 Union Ministers are contesting the elections. Apart from this, two richest candidates of the country are in the fray. The TDP candidate from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh has assets worth Rs 5,705 crore and the BJP candidate from Chevella seat in Telangana has assets worth Rs 4,568 crore.

A polling agent died of a heart attack before voting in Munger, Bihar. His wife says that he was suffering from heart disease, we had already applied to the district administration not to impose voting duty. Even after this his duty was imposed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on social media in 6 languages and wrote - I am confident that today people will vote in large numbers on all the seats, in which youth and women voters will participate enthusiastically. Let us do our duty and strengthen democracy.

Cucumber

From Kheri, Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra is contesting against Samajwadi Party's Utkarsh Verma and BSP's Anshay Kalra.

Kannauj

Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav is contesting elections from Kannauj after 12 years. He is contesting against BJP's Subrata Pathak. BSP has fielded Imran bin Zafar from here.

Etawah

Former Union Minister and BJP MP Ramshankar Katheria is in the electoral fray from BJP in Etawah. Jitendra Dohra of SP and former MP Sarika Singh Baghel of BSP are contesting from the alliance.

Unnao

In Unnao, sitting MP Sakshi Maharaj is again in the election fray from BJP. Former MP Annu Tandon is the candidate on SP ticket from India-Alliance. BSP has made Ashok Kumar Pandey its candidate.

Where is voting today across the country?

The seats where voting is going on in the fourth round of Lok Sabha elections include all 25 seats of Andhra Pradesh, all 17 seats of Telangana, 13 seats of Uttar Pradesh and 11 seats of Maharashtra. Apart from this, voting is to be held on 8 seats each in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, 5 seats in Bihar, 4 each in Jharkhand and Odisha and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir. The first three phases of the election were held on 19 April, 26 April and 7 May, with voter turnout of 66.1, 66.7 and 61 percent.

The voting process will start at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. Voters standing in the queue till the close of polling will be given the opportunity to vote, even if the polling stations have to be kept open for how long.
