TMC state president demands resignation from Giri

When the video of the minister talking to the woman forest officer in this manner went viral, TMC objected to it. TMC spokesperson Shantanu Sen said, 'Following the party's instructions, state president Subrata Bakshi called Akhil Giri on Sunday afternoon and directed him to apologize to the woman officer and resign immediately.'

On this, Giri said, 'There is no question of apologizing to any officer.' Along with this, he said, 'I will email my resignation at night and will personally hand it over to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the Assembly tomorrow.
