UP News: The case of adulteration in the Prasad of Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh has created a stir across the country. After this incident, the governments of various states have become alert, and the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a decision to take strict measures by taking this issue seriously. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has termed this incident as gruesome and has ordered strict action against any kind of adulteration in food items.Strict instructions of Yogi governmentChief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken many important decisions regarding food safety and hygiene in a high-level meeting. He said that adulteration of human waste or any other dirty material in essential food items like juice, lentils and roti is unacceptable. For this, there will be a thorough investigation of dhabas, restaurants, and other food centers across the state. The Yogi government has also ordered amendments in several rules to ensure food safety.Strict investigation and police verificationCM Yogi has directed that police verification of all employees working in food establishments will be made mandatory. Apart from this, it will also be mandatory to publicly display the name and address of the operator, proprietor, and manager of these establishments. This step has been taken so that the responsibility of the concerned person can be fixed in case of any kind of disturbance.Masks, gloves and CCTV mandatory in hotels and restaurantsKeeping in mind cleanliness and safety, the Chief Minister has also directed that it will be mandatory for chefs and waiters working in hotels, dhabas, and restaurants to wear masks and gloves. Along with this, installation of CCTV cameras will also be made mandatory in these establishments so that monitoring can be improved and any kind of disturbance can be caught immediately.Amendment in Food Safety ActTo ensure the purity and hygiene of food items, the Yogi government has directed to make necessary amendments in the Food Safety and Standards Act. This will ensure that the standards of hygiene are strictly followed at the food centers and strict action will be taken against anyone who violates these rules.Strict action on adulterationIf adulteration of human waste or dirty things is found in any establishment, then strict action will be taken not only against the employee but also against the operator and proprietor of the establishment.
