Mayawati Vs Rahul: BSP chief Mayawati has strongly retaliated against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. In a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) handle, she accused the Congress of contesting the Delhi Assembly elections as the BJP's 'B team'. Mayawati said that due to this strategy of the Congress, the BJP succeeded in gaining power in Delhi, otherwise the situation of the Congress would not have been so bad that most of its candidates could not even save their deposits.

Advice to Rahul Gandhi to introspect

Mayawati directly attacked Rahul Gandhi and said that he should introspect instead of pointing fingers at others. She wrote, "It would be better if the supreme leader of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi, looks into his own affairs before pointing fingers at others, especially the BSP chief. This is my advice to him."

Warning given to BJP too

Mayawati also took the BJP to task and said that the new BJP government formed in Delhi will face the challenge of fulfilling all its promises made in the elections on time. He warned that if the BJP does not fulfill its promises, then its fate may be the same as that of the Congress.

Mayawati's reaction to Rahul Gandhi's statement

It is worth noting that Rahul Gandhi, while talking to a group of Dalit students in Rae Bareli recently, said that he was disappointed that BSP chief Mayawati refused to join the anti-BJP 'India' alliance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to Rahul Gandhi, if the BSP had joined this alliance, the BJP would not have been able to win the Lok Sabha elections.

UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar's reaction

After Mayawati's statement, UP government minister and Subhaspa chief Om Prakash Rajbhar also called the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) the 'B team' of the BJP. He said, "Congress and SP help BJP from time to time. Congress benefited BJP in Delhi elections. When Congress tried to form an alliance with BSP during Lok Sabha elections, SP opposed it. Congress should have made an alliance with someone instead of fighting the Delhi elections alone."

New stir in political equations

This war of words between Mayawati and Rahul Gandhi makes it clear that political equations are constantly changing for the upcoming elections. On one hand, Congress and SP are being called BJP's 'B team', on the other hand, BJP is being challenged to fulfill its promises.
