In the meeting, Kharge talked about contesting elections in collaboration with the leaders of Maharashtra Congress and the constituent parties of India Alliance, but the final decision will be taken by Maharashtra Congress only.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that discussions were held about Bharat Nyaya Yatra from 14th. Today Congress President Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi held a 3-hour meeting. Today all the state presidents and legislative party leaders were present. There was discussion about preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.

Rahul Gandhi will start Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

He said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra that took place was a transformative march. There was a huge change in the country. New life came into the organization. Name of the Yatra – Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra.

He said that there will be a journey of 107 kilometers in Manipur. This yatra will cover 4 districts, 2 Lok Sabha and 11 Vidhan Sabha. He will stay for one and a half days. There will be a journey of 257 kilometers in Nagaland. Will cover 5 districts and will last for 2 days. 833 will be covered in Assam. It will last for 8 days. 17 districts will be covered.

Discussion on seat distribution of Maharashtra in Lok Sabha elections

He said that a preliminary discussion took place in today's meeting regarding the distribution of Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. There was a discussion between Balasaheb Thorat, Nana Patole and Mallikarjun Kharge.

He said that the first decision regarding distribution of Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be taken at the state level and it will be approved in Delhi. The strength of the party in the state was also discussed in the meeting. Both the leaders informed Kharge that how many seats Congress can win in the elections, but the elections should be fought with allies. Kharge advised both the leaders. After the meeting Balasaheb Thorat left for Mumbai.
