REET 2023 / Reserved category candidates with 82 marks will pass in REET – High Court gave its verdict

Candidates who score 82 marks in REET Eligibility Test will be considered as pass. The Rajasthan High Court today gave its verdict while hearing the petitions of Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Mukesh and others. The court of Justice Sudesh Bansal has directed the Board of Secondary Education that all those candidates of reserved category who have got 82 marks. Issue them the REET Pass Eligibility Certificate.

REET 2023: Candidates who score 82 marks in REET Eligibility Test will be considered as pass. And the candidates who have given the third grade teacher recruitment exam. Those who are coming in merit. But he has 82 marks in his reet. They should also be considered as REET pass and given place in merit. Along with this, the court has directed the government to issue a general order in this regard. So that REET pass eligibility certificate can be issued to the reserved category candidates who get 82 marks.

55 percent marks mandatory for reserved category Advocates Raghunandan Sharma and Rampratap Saini, who appeared on behalf of the petitioners, told that general category candidates have to score 60 percent marks to pass the REET exam. On the other hand, it is mandatory for the candidates of reserved category (SC, ST, OBC non-creamy layer, MBC EWS) to score 55 percent marks.

But REET exam is of 150 marks. Its 55 percent is 82.5 marks. But in the marks pattern of REET either candidate can get 82 marks. Or 83 points. There is no provision to get 82.5 marks. At the same time, the Board of Secondary Education was not issuing REET pass eligibility certificate to the reserved category candidates who scored 82 marks. We told the court that in other states the candidates who scored 82 marks were considered successful. Apart from this, we also presented other High Court orders before the court.
