Narendra Modi Oath: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of office and secrecy on Sunday along with 72 ministers of the new coalition government, of which thirty are cabinet ministers, five with independent charge and 36 ministers of state. The portfolios will be announced later. 73-year-old PM Modi became the Prime Minister after a big victory in 2014 after 10 years of UPA rule and then became PM for the second time in 2019 and third time in 2024. In his third term, PM Modi will lead the NDA coalition government. PM Modi is the second Prime Minister to be elected for three consecutive times after the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to PM Modi and his 72 ministers at a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday. Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah took oath after PM Modi. Nitin Gadkari was the fourth leader.
