Lok Sabha Elections: Once again a big game has taken place in the politics of Maharashtra. The ruling alliance 'Mahayuti' has come to the point of drawing swords on the issue of seat sharing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In fact, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, which has 40 MLAs, has staked claim on 22 seats for the Lok Sabha elections, after which there has been panic in Ajit Pawar's camp and BJP. According to reports, Shinde's army has said that their strength has increased on these 22 seats, hence they want to contest elections on all these seats.

BJP's target is to win 45 seats

All parties have started preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. While the opposition party Mahavikas Aghadi is exploring its ground, the ruling alliance Mahayuti has also lost its preparation. Bharatiya Janata Party has set a target of winning 45 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra for Mahayuti. In terms of number of MLAs in the government, BJP has the largest share in the grand alliance, while Ajit Pawar is at second place and Eknath Shinde is at third place. Talking about MPs, there are 24 MPs from BJP, 13 from Shiv Sena and one MP from Ajit group.

Political environment changed – Shiv Sena

Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena has argued that the formula in the last Lok Sabha elections was 26-22. Shiv Sena candidates had won 18 out of 22 seats. Due to different political circumstances, 4 big leaders of Shiv Sena were defeated on other 4 seats, but now the political atmosphere has changed. MP Rahul Shewale said that Shirol and Raigarh are two such seats which can be discussed with NCP. But Shiv Sena's position is strong on other 20 seats.

Opposition parties targeted

After Eknath Shinde staked claim on 22 Lok Sabha seats, now opposition parties have also started targeting. State opposition leader Vijay Vaddetiwar said that the Shinde faction would hardly get three to four seats. Their bargaining power has ended. Uddhav faction MP Arvind Sawant said that tomorrow you will also hear that he will stand with BJP's election symbol. He said that this is what you will get the fruits of your actions. At the same time, NCP Sharad faction MLA Rohit Pawar said that no matter how much Shinde Sena claims, they will have to do whatever BJP says, whatever Delhi wants.
